History

• 1966 : Ms and Mrs Angier start the nursery activity with fresh strawberry plant production and marketing.

 

• 1970 : Commercialization of fridge strawberry plants.

 

• 1975 : 1st year of commercialization of crown of asparagus commercialization.

 

• 1986 : Creation of the ANGIER S.A. INTERNATIONAL company.

 

• 1994 : Begining of the strawberry varietey selection program by Christophe Angier the result is :

ANGELINA (season variety commercialized in 2000)

ANABELLE (double-cropping variety commercialized in 2002)

ANAIS (double-cropping variety commercialized in 2006).

 

• 2003 : 1st year of commercialization of young plants of red berries.

 

• 2004 : The company is taken over by the 2 sons of Mr and Mrs Angier :

Bruno Angier : production manager

Frédéric Angier : marketing manager.

 

• 2006 : Angier nurseries are members and administrator of the CIREF Création Variétale. The goal of this partnership is to develop CIREF C.V. varieties.

 

• 2007 : Creation of shelter conditions (hail nets) for the production of tray plants and mini strawberry tray.

 

• 2010 : Creation of multibay greenhouse for growing strawberry plants in sod.

 

• 2011 : Increase in our shelters conditions area of 1 Ha for the production of strawberry tray and mini strawberry trayrepresenting total of 4 ha.

Some informations :

 

• All plants sold by ANGIER SAS International are produced in France and are certified as E.C or C.A.C by the Official Control Service (SOC), an agency under the French Ministry of Agriculture.

 

• Acreage: 380 acres of sandy soil in Sologne.

 

• 45 acres of nursery strawberry plants, for marketing:

+/- 18 500 000 fridge plants,

+/- 2 000 000 fresh plants,

+/- 2 000 000 sod plants,

+/- 1 800 000 tray plants,

+/- 700 000 mini tray.

 

• 32 acres of crown of asparagus, for markting : +/- 4 300 000 griffes d'asperges

 

• 1 acre of young red berries plants, for marketing : +/- 150 000 plants.

 

• 18 permanent employees + 40 seasonal employees, which is equivalent to 38 persons full time per year.

 

• 25 % of the revenu is achieved abroad : Europe - Midle East - North Africa.
